UC&SC Pitch & Changing Block Pledges
Dear members, parents, friends of the club,
As we have been promoting for some time now we had been planning to be at the final stage of the pitch development by the beginning of March, which I can confirm was reached on Monday when we met with Sport Scotland and received final sign off of our development.
The final remaining stage to be completed is the collection of all pledges, which we are hoping to have completed by 1st April 2015 with the view we would look to get started as soon as all pledges are in, which should allow a site start by the middle of April to have the pitch useable by July 2015 assuming all pledges come in.
Attached for your information is the template "confirmation of pledge" letter that will either be handed or posted out this week to all those that have pledged therefore can we request that you now take note of content and action as required please.  If you do not receive a letter by Monday 9th March please contact myself to have it resent.
If you have not pledged to date we would be delighted if you would now like to as every little bit helps and all you have to do is contact myself to confirm your pledge and I will confirm back the way via letter.   Any pledges made and not used on the pitch will be moved straight onto the changing block development so please pledge a little bit more or indeed pledge if not done so already.
If you are now having difficulty in confirming your pledge please contact myself as below to discuss as we are not wishing anyone put themselves into difficulty.
Finally thank you very much for all pledges made to date and lets all look forward to using our new pitch in the very near future and for years to come.

URFC Coaching Opportunities
The programme which will be funded by URFC and SRU, hopefully with assistance from lottery funding, will initially aim to provide continuous coaching in all local primary and secondary schools within our catchment area. The ultimate aim is to generate greater player numbers at both the schools and at the club.
While the plan is being developed by URFC, SRU and the schools at this point we need to identify persons able to assist on the delivery of the programme.
We envisage that the programme will involve the recruitment of at least one Modern Apprentice Community Coach plus a number of other coaches to provide additional coaching support on ad-hoc basis.
Full details of the MA programme are available at:
Applications are invited from all 16-19 year olds who may be interested.
The other coaching opportunities would suit perhaps existing/ex players, parents, coaches or anyone else keen to get involved. You would need to commit to achieving either UKCC Level 1 or 2 coaching qualifications. All training costs will be fully covered and remuneration paid for time spent coaching.
All applications for both the MA post(s) and coaching posts should be sent to  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  '; document.write( '' ); document.write( addy_text54103 ); document.write( '<\/a>' ); //--> This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
At this point we don’t need CV’s etc, just a note of your contact details and a few sentences as to why you think you would want to be considered/participate. We hope to sit down with everyone interested in the next few weeks and fully discuss our plans and how you may be able to help.
UC&SC 2014/15 AGM Confirmed - Monday 9th March @ 7pm

UC&SC hereby give notice that the 2014/15 AGM will be held at the clubhouse on Monday 9th March starting at 7pm prompt.

Any items that you wish to be added to the agenda should be emailed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it by Monday 2nd March to be included.

Could all sections and members make every effort to attend as we would be keen to have your input to how your club is being run.

UC&SC Sponsorship

Dear members and friends of the club,

Uddingston Cricket & Sports Club is going through some big changes…

We are growing and strengthening in many areas; with our new Astroturf  pitch coming soon and our changing block hopefully following very soon after we are all experiencing a very exciting period of our long history with a great and prosperous future ahead of us.

As noted, we are well on our way to having our very own all weather pitch in our very own back garden at Uddingston Cricket and Sports Club plus we will be very soon moving onto the implementation of an eight room changing block to further assist our growth across all sections.

While the funding is in place for the initial pitch development, we are now looking at phase two and beyond.

However; please do not be alarmed as there is no need to look out your cheque book, but rather your phone book!

We are looking to identify businesses (near and far) that can help us as we continue our journey. We are looking for business sponsors and we need YOU to help find them, introduce them, and let them play a vital part in securing a successful future for Uddingston Cricket & Sports Club.

We are looking to meet with businesses, large and small, who would be keen to join our exciting journey, and through well-established marketing techniques we can provide them with invaluable brand exposure.

We are keen to share an update on our progress in the coming weeks, and so we would be greatly appreciative if you could get in touch at your very earliest.

Many thanks
